FAQ

VPN blocks (full and half)

How to connect to Minecraft servers that block VPNs or proxies. Understand full and half blocks, and which MinecraftAFK tier guarantees a connection.

Some servers actively block VPN and proxy traffic. Because the web client routes connections through a proxy by default, those servers can flag and reject your accounts unless your proxy is high quality enough to slip through.

Full vs. half block

A full block explicitly tells you something like "You can't join the server using a VPN". A half block silently disconnects you without saying anything about VPNs - it's still a proxy detection, just quieter.

Tier breakdown

  • Tier 1 - proxies are lower quality due to cost. Often unreliable on VPN-blocked servers.
  • Tier 2 - you can add your own custom proxies, so you choose the quality.
  • Tier 3 - guaranteed connection to any server. If your proxy fails on a known-blocked server, we replace it or refund you.

Servers known to require Tier 3

Around 15+ servers have known VPN blocks, including DonutSMP, OneBlockMC, Jartex, and Pika Network. If you're on Tier 2, we provide compatible proxy subnets (for example 154.12.141.XXX works on DonutSMP).

Any server with a country-specific TLD - .pl, .tr, etc. - needs a proxy from that country.

Server blacklist

Superawesome (superawesome.dk) cannot be connected to on any tier. If you bought a plan solely for that server and don't use it elsewhere, contact support for a refund.
