Getting Started

Local client access

Install the free MinecraftAFK local client on your Windows computer. Run and manage multiple Minecraft accounts from one app, no subscription required.

The local client is a free desktop application. It runs entirely on your computer, so closing or shutting down the machine will log out every account.

If you need accounts to stay online when your computer is off, use the web client instead.

Install

  1. Go to minecraftafk.com/free.
  2. Click Download now.
  3. Launch the installer. If Windows Defender warns you, click More infoRun anyways.
  4. Pick your language.
  5. Verify your account.
  6. Finish setup.

Limitations

  • The program closes when your computer shuts down or sleeps.
  • Some advanced features (per-account proxies, automated movement, free proxy access) are only available on the web client.

See Comparing local and web features for the full difference.

Keeping the local client updated

Keep the local client up to date to stay updated with the latest changes. When a new version is released, it should automatically prompt the update when opening the program. The free client is mostly unmaintained and not updated to the newest versions of the game.

When to switch to the web client

Choose the web client instead if you need accounts online while your computer is off, want to manage them from your phone, or need per-account proxies and automated bot movement. You can also run both - the local client for free, on-machine sessions, and the web client for hands-off 24/7 uptime.
